Dairygold Co-Op closes its Doors.

TRIBUTE FOR PAT: As you know our local Co-op Stores closed its doors on Friday 18th October, and with it, Pat Gubbins's service to the community has come to an end. Granagh Development, on behalf of the community are holding an appreciation night for Pat on Saturday 26th Oct in the Community Centre, after Mass, at 8pm. If you cannot attend and wish to contribute, you can drop it to Vincent Griffin, Gerard Kennedy or any member of the GDA. All welcome to attend, light refreshments will be served. SHOE BOXES: Christmas Shoe Boxes can be dropped off in Ballingarry Hall on Wed 6th at 8pm - the ICA are kindly arranging collection. What you need to do;- wrap a shoebox in christmas

MONTH's MIND: Saturday 19th at 7pm, the month's mind Mass for Chris Purtill will be clelebrated, in Granagh. WILDLIFE TALK: Wednesday 23rd Oct. 7.45pm in LIT: Anneke Vrieling from Feale Biodiversity will give a talk on invasive species and their impact. She will also cover what native species are good for wildlife. Should be of interest to gardeners, schools, tidy towns groups etc. SHOE BOXES: The 10th Annual Team Hope Christmas appeal. Boxes need to be dropped off before Fri 8th Nov. What you need to do;- wrap a shoebox in christmas paper and fill with gifts for boys/girls aged from 2 up to 14. PARISH PILGRIMAGE 2020: Thursday 10th, 7.30pm: Meeting in the community centre for anyone interested in joining the Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes, leaving Easter Monday, next year. Everything will be explained, with details of flights, hotel costings etc available, as decisions will need to be made at the meeting.
