Dairygold Co-Op closes its Doors.


TRIBUTE FOR PAT: As you know our local Co-op Stores closed its doors on Friday 18th October, and with it, Pat Gubbins's service to the community has come to an end. Granagh Development, on behalf of the community are holding an appreciation night for Pat on Saturday 26th Oct in the Community Centre, after Mass, at 8pm. If you cannot attend and wish to contribute, you can drop it to Vincent Griffin, Gerard Kennedy or any member of the GDA. All welcome to attend, light refreshments will be served.

SHOE BOXES: Christmas Shoe Boxes can be dropped off in Ballingarry Hall on Wed 6th at 8pm - the ICA are kindly arranging collection. What you need to do;- wrap a shoebox in christmas paper, get the boy/girl label from O'Gradys, Snows, pay the postage and fill with gifts for ages 2 up to 14. What you might include - Write - copies, pens, pencils, colouring books, markers, rubber, topper, solar calculators. Wash - combs, hairbrushes, toothbrushes/paste, facecloth and soap (wrapped). Wear - hat, scarf, gloves, socks, underwear. Wow - sunglasses, small games, sweets, doll, teddy, yo-yo, puppet, skipping rope. Further info on www.teamhope.ie

CLOTHES COLLECTION: In aid of Granagh Nat. School Parents' Association. Time to have a clean-out before the year end, keep a note of the dates in November. Friday 15th; 3-5pm and Saturday 16th; 4-7pm. Again the following weekend, Friday 22nd; 3-5pm and Saturday 23rd; 4-7pm. Drop off point is at the Parochial house. They are accepting - good quality, reusable clothes. Hats & Scarves. Belts & Handbags. Paired shoes. Sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, curtains and towels.

DIARY: Wed 23rd: AGM, Community Games. 8.30pm. Fri 25th-Sun27th: One Act Drama Fest, Friars Gate. Sat 26th: Cottage Market, Kilmallock. 11am. Sat 26th: Harvest Mass, Granagh 7pm. Tue 29th: Yoga in Granagh Hall at 7.30pm.
