Christmas 45 Drive

On Tuesday night we held our Christmas 45 Drive and it was a tremendous success and the turnout far exceeded our expectations which we are delighted with. It was great to see so many people considering the recent bad weather and would like to thank everyone who made it. The winners on the night were as follows: 1st prize of €300 were John Sheehan & Debs McElligott 2nd Prize of €20 each were: Dan & Norina Sheehan, Martin Treacy and Ger, Mike O’Brien & Paddy O’Neill, Marion Noonan & Alice Moloney, Tom & Pat O’Neill. Table Prizes of €40 each were won by Paddy Lyons and partner, Martin Treacy & Ger and Dan & Norina Sheehan.

The Raffle prizes were won by the following: 1st Prize Mairead Fitzgerald, 2nd Prize Joan O’Grady, 3rd Prize Pat Riordan, 4th Prize John O’Grady 5th Prize Marion Noonan 6th Prize Eddie O’Brien 7th Prize John O’Connor 8th Prize Tommy Riordan 9th Prize John Sheehan.

Your donations were very much appreciated.

Thank you to the committee members (Nora O’Connor, Breda Fitzgibbon, Maureen O’Gorman, Bernie Cagney, Tara O’Callaghan, Tony Fitzgibbon and Kevin Carroll) who worked tirelessly on the night and in the weeks leading up to the last nights 45 Drive to help it run so smoothly. Thank you also to the volunteers who helped also on the night and with the tea and clean up- John & Marie O’Connor, Louise Enright, Deirdre Moynihan, Mairead Fitzgerald, Ned Cagney, Richard O’Donoghue, Dan Sheehan, Joe Carroll, Mick Houlihan and Sean Cagney. A special thank you to Sean and Mick who helped set up the hall before and we greatly appreciate the help and advice from Mick who helped run the card game so smoothly and kept a watchful eye over the proceedings. Thank you also to the Granagh Development Committee for the use of the hall.

Senior Medals Presentations

Last Saturday in Condrons Bar, Ballingarry we held our Senior County Medal Presentation Night in recognition of our Seniors County Final a couple of weeks ago. It was very well attended and a well deserved night for our senior panel on their third County Final in a row. A special recognition should go to Vera Sheehan who received her 16th County final winners medal which is a tremendous achievement. Well done Vera. Presentations were also made on the night to the management team of Ciaran Carey, Louise Enright, Eoin Ryan and Tommy Stack for all their hard work and commitment during the season. Thank you to Condrons Bar for hosting the night.
