CHURCH MATTERS:

Feast of Assumption:- Mass on Wed 14th, 7pm, in Ballingarry. Thur 15th, Granagh at 10am.

Last Sunday, anniversary Mass was celebrated for Steven Collins, Ned & Mary Duggan, Seamus Madigan & Kevin Barry. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a nAnamnacha dilís.

CHOMHBHRÓN:

Our sympathies to the family of the late Dinny A, who died peacefully in UHL on Sat 10th, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents John & Catherine and sister Kitty.

Sadly missed by his brother John (London) and his sisters Peggy (Ryan), Eileen (Regan) and Breda (Doggett), his special friend Eilish, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and loyal customers.

He was reposed at his residence on Monday with Requiem Mass on Tuesday, followed by burial in Castletown Conyers Cemetery. May he Rest in Peace.


HERITAGE WEEK:

A nine-day celebration of Ireland’s natural, built and cultural heritage. Each year, local communities organise a host of free events throughout the country. Some of the events happening nearby.

Sun18th Aug,10am to 5pm; Bunratty Folk Park and The INRBS host a celebration of indigenous breeds. Representatives of breed societies will be present to provide information & there will also be a demonstration of crafting.

Sun18th Aug at 2pm; Biodiversity Walk along the Limerick Greenway with Geoff Hunt.

Mon19th to Sat 24th Aug; 7:30pm to 9pm. Enjoy a ‘guided tour’ of the Book of Kells, at St John’s Church, Knockainey.

Tue 20th Aug at 2pm; Flying Boat Museum is offering a free guided tour of the new Maureen O'Hara Collection.

Sat 24th Aug at 11am; Family Fun Event will be held at the Arra River, Demesne NCW.

Sat 24th Aug from 3pm to 4pm; A walking tour of Ballingarry will take place on. Hear about The Turrets, conservation work in the Graveyard & DeLacy Castle.
