MUSIC in LISKENNETT:

Sun 1st Oct: 3.00pm; Have you got your tickets for 'The Liam O'Connor Show', with Special Guest, ** Brian Kennedy **. Along with the ‘ Liskennettes’, plus lots more Entertainment. It's always a wonderful evening of entertainment. Funds raised from this concert will help cover the cost of purchasing Hay for the Horses and Ponies, this Winter. Taking place in the Indoor Area at Liskennett Farm, V35X242.


MOTOR CLUB:

30th Sept & 1st Oct. Limerick Motor Club are running the Irish Hillclimb and Sprint Championship in Ballingarry. Just to note, local roads will be closed for the duration of the event. Chawkes cross to Lees cross from 07.00 to 18.30 and Lees cross to Ballingarry 08.30 to 18.30.


CLASSES:

Yoga classes beginning in Feenagh Hall on the 28th September. 7- 8pm; Basic yoga/beginner friendly.

Pilates classes will be beginning in Ballingarry Hall on Tuesday 3rd Oct, for ten weeks. Two classes, Easy at 6.30pm or Harder at 7.30.


SPLIT-the-BUCKET:

Granagh/Ballingarry Camogie club's fundraiser takes place every two weeks, with buckets in O'Gormans and the Rock Bar. To enter the draw, in the Shop, simply pop €2 into the envelopes provided and write down your name and number. You can also enter online, see the Club's page or Granagh.com. The total amount of money collected will be determined by a count prior to the draw being made, with the total amount split 50:50 between the person whose name is on the envelope and Granagh Ballingarry Camogie Club.

The draw will be recorded live at the designated location to ensure full transparency and broadcast on Facebook & Instagram. Next draw, Friday 29th.

Mike O'Brien Tournament: Sat 30th, at 1pm, GAA Field. A big day for the juvenile teams who will be out showcasing their camogie skills. U6s will be taking on Crecora. U8s will be donning their parish colours and taking on their teammates in a parish league. U10s will be taking on Ballyagran and St.Ailbes. U11s and U12s will also be taking on Crecora.


RECYCLING:

I see that old pillows and fibre filled Duvets are being collected in Newcastle West. These aren't recyclable so it is a handy way of reusing them. Also, they are accepting unwanted candles, which they also recycle. Can be dropped into the corner shop, 'Fit for You' opposite the Church, any day between 11am and 5pm.


NCW- FILM CLUB:

Friday 6th October. Desmond Complex, 8pm. “Róise & Frank” presented in association with the Éigse Michael Hartnett Literary & Arts Festival. You will be charmed by this eccentric Irish language comedy drama. A warm hearted tale about a woman who believes that a stray dog is the reincarnation of her dead husband.

€8.00 per screening, card payments accepted, refreshments available. No booking necessary, just arrive on the night. All our screenings have an over 18 entry requirement.


DRAMA:

Kilmallock; October 5th – 8th, 12th, 13th & 15th at 8pm. Friars Gate; A night of comedy to look forward to with 'Inspector Drake and the Black Widow '. Taking part are Marylee Stapleton and Liam Houlihan. When oil tycoon John Johnson is found with a huge sword in his back, it looks like a straightforward case of dying illegally. But things in Drake’s world are never as they seem. Why was Johnson badly disguised as his own wife? Why had he eaten a tortoise? And why do all the women in the house look similar?
