Our sympathies to the family of Jim Kelly, Kilmore House, who passed peacefully on the 16th, in the wonderful care of the staff at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Helen, and dear father to Seamus, Loraine (Irwin), Siobhan, Marianne, sons-in-law Kieran and Kieron, Marianne's partner Ger, grandchildren Aisling, Rachel, Louise, Darragh, Annabel and Daniel, sisters Mary Butler, Patricia McGrath, Anne Cunningham, Peg Wall, Sr. Eileen Kelly (Kilfinane) and Vera, brother Moss, brothers-in-law Eamon and John, nephews, nieces, kind neighbours and his large circle of friends. He was reposed at St Joseph's Church, on Sunday evening, funeral Mass on Monday, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Go dtuga Dia suaimhneas sioraí do.
It has only come to my attention now of the death of Tony Marston, Granagh & Askeaton, who passed peacefully in the University Hospital following a brief illness. He is sadly missed by his wife Shelagh, stepdaughter and son in law Oonagh and Ger, step grandchildren Jake, Rebecca and Megan, relatives and friends. Private Cremation took place at Shannon Crematorium on Sunday 26th June. While Tony lived in Granagh, he was affectionately known as ‘the Professor’, as he had a vast knowledge on all kinds of subjects. The members of the local Water Group got to know him, of course and employed him for some time. He gave them great advice on how to improve their systems and he fixed many many water breaks in the parish. May the light of Heaven shine on him.
