St.PATRICK's DAY: Mass in Granagh will be celebrated on Friday 17th at 10am. Sending good wishes to all those at home and away for an enjoyable Patrick's day. You can choose from a wide variety of events in the lead up to St. Patrick's day, between 12th & 19th: The Milk Market will host a vintage, Antique & Craft fair, a Food market and an Art fair. St. Mary’s Cathedral will host a series of musical performances and choral recitals. Fri 17th: 12pm, Limerick City Parade. County parades:- Rathkeale 12.30pm. Kilmallock 1pm. Adare 3pm. Abbeyfeale 4pm. Sun 19th, 12pm; The International Band Championships. MINISTRIES SUPPORT: Wed 22nd, 7.30pm: Ballingarry Hall. An invitation to all who are involved in parish groups, eucharistic ministers, readers etc, to attend a reflection on Ministry given by Sr. Betty Baler . Thank you to all who volunteer to minister in the parish and looking forward to meeting you on the night. JIVE CLASSES: Beginning on Thursday 23rd March, 7.45 - 9pm, in the Community Centre. No partner or previous experience required. This is a four week course, in week one you will start with the basics and progress each week. DAFFODIL DAY: Sunday 26th Mar: 11am. Mary Morrissey's coffee morning in aid of the Irish Cancer society will be held in the Community Centre, after Mass. Goods on sale include, tea towels, cups, shopping bags, biros and daffodil pins. There will also be a raffle for some lovely prizes. An estimated 2,600 cancer diagnoses were missed due to the pandemic, and demands on the health service means that catch-up remains difficult. This makes Daffodil Day 2023 the most important yet, a day to give hope and raise vital funds. Ballingarry ICA will be supporting the Irish Cancer Society's Daffodil Day on Friday the 24th of March by holding a raffle and bucket collection from 8.30am to 6pm in O'Grady's. HEALTH CHECK: Your Health Matters Roadshow 2023; Throughout the year, health check and awareness events will be popping up around the country. Talk to the cancer nurses at the roadshow and find out more about how to spot the early signs of cancer, how to prevent cancer and learn about free cancer screening. You can also avail of a free 15-minute health check. The Roadshow is coming to: Parkway Shopping Centre, Limerick: 28th & 30 March. COOLRUSS XMAS LIGHTS: Wonderful news from the Christmas lights collection of '22 . A total of €3720 was raised and is to be divided between their three charities, St. Joseph's Foundation, Pieta House, and Air Ambulance. The cheques will be delivered this week to all . This Sunday we celebrate mothers and those in a mothering role who tirelessly work to create a positive environment in which their children can thrive. Ambiyo (36) has eight children, ranging in age from six months to fourteen years. After the birth of her youngest daughter in the family’s hut, Ambiyo received life-saving care from the Trócaire health clinic nearby. Without this medical help, she would not have survived. In Somalia and other countries around the world, Trócaire, provides maternal care for expectant and new mothers through antenatal clinics, medical care during labour and delivery and nutrition programmes for children.
