June brings Tulips, Lilies, Roses, Fills the children’s hands with Posies.


Congratulations to Canon Tom who has just celebrated 50yrs of being ordained to the priesthood. We thank him for his ministry which has touched countless people over the years. May God bless him on this milestone of such generous and devoted service. We all wish him continued good health and happiness and hopefully he will continue his services in the parish for the foreseeable future. The icing on the cake for his celebrations came on Sunday with the great Limerick win in Thurles !!

Last Choir date: Sunday 16th June. Thanks to all the members for attending throughout the year and enhancing the Mass celebration. Thanks also to Roisín for arranging our rota and for her wonderful accompaniment. New members are always welcome.

Desmond Castle Adare is now open for Guided Tours!

From June to September, every day at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, or 4pm for a one-hour journey through history. Tours start and finish at the Adare Heritage Centre, with a free 5-minute shuttle to the castle.


Don't forget, their garden fete is happening the first Sunday in July. They are looking for donations of saleable second-hand goods for their stalls : clothes (no underwear), jewellery, handbags, shoes, soft toys, books, CDs, DVDs, household goods ornaments, etc. Donations NOT accepted are: duvets, pillows, mattresses, electrical goods and broken items. Items can be dropped off at Rathfredagh Cheshire Home, reception.


Thur 27th, 8.30pm, in the Hall: Next meeting for those interested in joining the steering group to advance the parochial house project. We would welcome more parishioners to attend this meeting. Nothing worthwhile is ever achieved easily and the help of many people is invaluable.
