CHURCH NEWS:

Christmas Masses: Admission by Ticket only. Tickets can be collected after Masses next weekend 19th & 20th Dec. 24th Dec - Granagh Masses - 4.30pm & 6.00pm. Ballingarry Masses - 7pm & 8.30pm. 25th Dec - Granagh 9.30am. Ballingarry, 11.00am.


REMEMBRANCE MASS:

The Cagney family, Liskennett, are having a remembrance Mass for Mary on Friday 18th Dec in Banogue at 6.30pm. This will be streamed through the Croom Parish Webcam page for those who wish to view it – croomparish.ie/webcam


TRÓCAIRE GIFTS FOR SALE :

Saturday 19th Dec; This year I will be selling the Trocaire Christmas gifts of Love outdoors and hoping for a dryish day.. Thanks to local shopkeepers - Tom O'Gorman & Donal O'Grady - I have booked a space in their car parks.

I will be in Ballingarry from 9am - 12.30pm and in Granagh from 1pm - 5pm. I will have some Christmas cards and a selection of gift cards available - Soap, Chicks, Seeds & Tools, Solar Lamps, School Lunches, School Kits, Goats, Help for Grandparents, Mother & Baby Kits, Honey Bees, Trees, Water & a Safe Home. WINTER VILLAGE:

Festive cheer is in the air at the outdoor Christmas Market, Longcourt House Hotel, Newcastle West, where local artisan traders showcase their handmade crafts, food, jewellery and seasonal treats for all to enjoy up until 23rd Dec, well worth a visit . Market times, Monday - Friday: 12pm - 8pm/Saturday & Sunday: 10am - 5.30pm. For Santa visits, tickets will be available to buy via phone & cost €20 per child. Family Photo will be included as well as a gift from Santa. Santa's Cottage Times:- Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th December @ 10am - 5.30pm. Tuesday 22nd December @ 12pm - 8pm. It's back on the air at 105.5 and their charity partner this year is ALONE. Every time you send in a request or text to 50300 - €2 is donated to Alone. Christmas FM aims to raise over €200,000 for ALONE to help give the gift of home this Christmas by providing over 20,000 hours of vital support to older people aging at home.


COOLRUSS LIGHTS:

The Carroll family have their lights up and running. This year's charities are St. Josephs Foundation, Pieta House & Rise for Daithí. Donations will have to be online this year, please see - www.gofundme.com and search for coolruss christmas lights.


SCHOOL FUNDRAISER:

The 'Go Fund Me' page is now closed and the Draw takes place Friday18th Dec. The Parents Association would like to thank everyone who has contributed so far. They would also like to thank John Geary, Gearys' garage, Kilmeedy who kindly donated a set of Kids Overalls.


MARIETTA's WALK:

An update on the total collected for St. Joseph's Foundation. Marietta wishes to thank everyone for their generosity, total raised, both online & offline was €2,625.
