AFTERNOON TEA, FLOWERS & VEGGIES:








CHURCH NEWS:

Last Sunday, on the Feast of Pentecost, we remembered the anniversaries of Mai, Willie & Noel O'Donnell and Fr. Pat Lyons. I measc na naofa go mbeidh síad I gcónaí.


GRANAGH DEV:

We would like to sincerely thank, all who supported the recent dance and fundraiser in the Hall, Sat 1st. Thanks to the sponsors of the raffle, for their generosity; Donal Hartigan, Groundworks, A&R, Groundworks, Dromoland Castle, Woodlands House Hotel, The Cú Chulainn, Patrickswell, Lees Centra, Charleville, Supervalu, Charleville, Supervalu Kilmallock and Mojo Hair. A cheque, for an amazing €2,565.00 was presented to Garda Mark O'Mahoney, on Tuesday 10th, for the 'Little Blue Heroes'. This charity is voluntarily led by Garda members, retired Gardaí and civic minded people, who aim to support families of children with serious illnesses, by providing practical and financial support.


DIY ACADEMY:

Saturday 28th June, 9am - 3.30pm: Granagh Hall. What a great opportunity we have, for ladies especially, to attend this day course aimed to empower you with the skills and knowledge of DIY home improvements.!!! This is for you if: You are sick of waiting for jobs to get done around the house. You want to be able to do the smaller jobs yourself.

What you will learn:- How to hang pictures. Master the Drill: Learn to use a drill correctly and safely.

Become familiar with the different products and tools you can put to use in your home.

Lock & Hinge Repairs: Gain the skills to fix locks and hinges on doors and cabinets efficiently.

Shelving Installation: Learn to install shelves securely and stylishly.

How to fix common DIY errors.

Martin Glynn is the man running the course and he wants to empower individuals with the skills they need to create, repair, and enhance their living spaces - without needing to wait for professionals.

With over 20 years of experience and a commitment to hands-on learning, he will guide you every step of the way. Join the DIY Academy for a fun-filled day of learning and hands-on DIY projects tailored specifically for women.

Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, this workshop is the perfect place to start.

FLORAL & VEG GARDEN WALK:

Sun 22nd June, 2-6pm: Lady Harrington invites you to enjoy a garden walk at her home in The Glen, Knockfierna, V94WP26. Proceeds in aid of Kilpeacon Church Fabric Fund and the GDA. Delicious Afternoon Teas will be served in the courtyard. Adm for Adults €10pp, children free with parking free, on the grounds.


TRACTOR RUN:

Sat 14th Jun: Registration will begin at 4.30pm, Run starting at 6pm sharp. Liston Family Farm, in Ballyculleen, Croom, V35XT88. The Greybridge Classic Club are holding their annual Cross Country Tractor Run, open to tractors and jeeps. The run is kicking off the years events, with the four chosen charities being: Critical - Emergency Response, Cliona’s Foundation, Children’s Grief Centre, and The Holy Family School, Charleville. The entry fee is €20, all money raised will be donated to these charities.


SPICE & SOLSTICE:

Sat 21st Jun, 7pm-10.30pm: Aubergine Restaurant, Croom. Celebrating the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice with a feast of couscous, culture and community. A Celtic and North African celebration with live music.


BUTTERFLY CLUB:

The club in Rathkeale are looking for some volunteers. If you can give four hours, one Saturday afternoon per month, please contact 086-2120023. As you know it is a social club for children and teenagers with special needs and caters for those aged 3 years and up from all areas of Limerick. It is a voluntary organisation. Their aim is to provide leisure activities in a safe, fun filled environment for children and young adults with special needs, while providing respite for parents/guardians. Due to the growing needs of the number of children wishing to attend, they have now grown into a club with 63 children. A very worthwhile charity, where your help would be most appreciated.


WRECKQUIEM:

25 June - 05 July. The Limetree Theatre will host the world premiere of Mike Finn's new play. Pat Shortt leads an all-star cast, directed by Andrew Flynn, alongside Patrick Ryan, Joan Sheehy, Mark O’Regan and Sade Malone.

A heart-warming comedy where a developer threatens a much-loved record store and it's up to a band of oddballs and misfits to save the day ! They have a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday 28th, which might suit people also. Booking on 061-953400 or www.limetree.ie


RATHFREDAGH:

Sun 6th July: The annual garden fete, which is their main fundraiser every year, is coming up next month. Donations of good quality Clothes, Books, Bags, Shoes, Bric-a-Brac are now welcome. They can be dropped to the reception desk in Rathfredagh.
