D&M CROAGH:
Congratulations to Dermot, Mary and Family who are celebrating 40yrs in their garden centre. It all began with Dermot being out of work, so he started selling vegetables from a van, going door to door. He then started growing strawberries himself and started selling fruit & veg out the back window of their house. He came up with the idea of a coffee shop, which has now developed into a fine restaurant @ The Village Table. His next idea was to build the B&B, Ballycannon Lodge. As the family grew and got involved, they made numerous improvements and developments, to achieve what they have today. They are holding a two day celebration on Sat26th July, a one-off evening meal in the restaurant with music. On Sun 27th, they will have expert gardener/designer Peter Donegan to give a talk along with a pop-up market and Giggles entertainment for the kids, 2-4pm. For more details and to book the meal, contact 069-64084. V94VXK7.
