RIP. Mary Cagney (nee Fitzgibbon)

CHOMHBHRÓN: Our sympathies to the Cagney family, Morenane House, on the sudden passing of Mary, on Sunday 31st. Predeceased by her brother Seán and sister Kay (Horgan). Deeply regretted by her husband John, sons William and Johnny, daughters Maura (Griffin) and Sharon, grandchildren, son-in-law Brendan, daughters-in-law Christelle and Claire, brother Tony, sisters Helen (Cullinane) and Norina (Sheehan), relatives and a wide circle of friends. Requiem Mass being celebrated on Wednesday 3rd, in St. Peter & Paul's Church Banogue, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Our sympathies also to the family of Jack Scanlan, Banogue, who passed peacefully on May 28th, beloved husband of the late Maureen. Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing son Pat, daughters Eileen (Hannon) and Louise (O'Connor), daughter-in-law Elaine, sons-in-law Paul and Dan, grandchildren relatives, kind neighbours and his many friends. Requiem Mass was celebrated in Holy Trinity Church, Adare, with burial afterwards in Banogue cemetery.

TRÓCAIRE THANKS: Fr. Dan kindly arranged that the Churches be open last Sunday to take up the weekly envelopes along with the Trócaire boxes. Sincere thanks to everyone who dropped in their donations and to those who had already sent them away directly. Once again you have been more than generous and know that every cent will be put to good use to help the poorest of people. Total received in Granagh - €2,027 and in Ballingarry €2,534.50, giving a grand total of ***€ 4,561.50 ***lodged to Trocaire's account . If anyone missed out you can still donate on-line, at www.trocaire.org or by phone 1850 408 408 or if in Cork, drop it into the office at 9 Cook St. The contents of each and every Trócaire box, no matter how small, come together to make a significant difference to those in need. 2nd & 5th CLASSES: To assist parishes with the rescheduling of ceremonies, Bishop Leahy is asking parents of children who are eligible to receive Confirmation and First Communion in 2020, to register their child with the diocese for the appropriate Sacrament, by Friday June 12th. You can do it online on the Limerick Diocese page or ring the Diocesan office (061-350000) on 8//9/10th June between 10am and 2pm.
