AUGUST ALREADY !!!

CEILÍ for CANCER: Friday 9th Aug, 9.30pm: A Charity Ceilí will take place in Knockaderry Community Centre for the Irish Cancer Society. The Striolán Ceilí Band will be providing the music, teas will be served, and numerous spot prizes will be up for grabs.

RUN's/WALK's: Curraghchase 10km Run/Walk: Sunday, 11th of August, in conjunction with TLC4CF who provide a variety of services to improve the quality of services available to people with Cystic Fibrosis in the Mid-West. It will be staged through the picturesque woodland area of Curraghchase Forest Park and around the former residence of famous Irish poet Aubrey de Vere. An very scenic and challenging course, great selection of sponsors, an amazing charity partner like TLC4CF, great jerseys and medals and the now infamous 10K feast at the end of the run for all that take part,all for €25. Broadford Utd Fun Run: Sunday 11th Aug, 11am: The course will take you through the beautiful grounds of Springfield Castle. Registration is at Community centre on raceday from 10am. In aid of Youth Development. €10 - adults, €3 - children, €20 - family. Castletown : Thursday 15th Aug, 6pm: Registration from 5.30 in Castletown Hall, light refreshments after. €10 - adults, €5 - children and Family rate.

COLLECTION: The Parish Clerk's Annual collection was taken up at Masses last weekend, but if you forgot you can hand it in this coming weekend also.

BABY NEWS: Congrats being sent Down Under this time. Fergal & Jacqui Noonan, Sydney welcomed baby Lia to their family last week. No comment as yet from little bro Thomas.!!
