A GIFT OF ONLY €5: If you had the chance of giving a life-saving gift for €5, would you do it ??? We spend multiples of €5's on Christmas presents every year !!! We could spend it more wisely... Sightsavers tell us that Trachoma is like sandpaper scraping you eye every time you blink - pure agony.. They want to eliminate this horrific disease by providing antibiotics, surgery and access to clean water. They have succeeded in Ghana already. Children suffering from trachoma, cannot go to school, they grow up with no prospect of working their way out of poverty and their parents have to endure the misery of seeing their children suffer. What €5 can do - ensure that 29 children are given vital antibiotics or it will pay for a trichasis operation to restore someones sight.!! Send your cheque or postal order today to Sightsavers, 1st Floor, Spencer House, Spencer Row, Freepost FDN5241, Dublin 1. You can donate online at www.sightsavers.ie/endtheagony or by calling 1850-60-20-20.
