EXTRA NIGHT for Granagh Players.
GRANAGH PLAYERS:
Extra Night: --- Because, there were full houses over the weekend, many people had to be turned away. The Players decided to do one final performance on Saturday 3rd Feb, for anyone who missed out....Be sure not to miss out, great acting and great laughs..
The producer, cast and crew were delighted with the response to their production of ' The Chastitute' over the last two weekends.
Well done to the producer, Jimmy Sheehy, and twenty one cast for putting on six great nights of entertainment. Lots of learning, and rehearsing went on behind the scenes but it was worth it in the end. Our six new cast members did themselves proud and were a wonderful addition to the group.
Congratulations - All the cast members, past and present, send their congratulations to Emma Morrissey on the birth of her twin girls. Emma was only in TY when she joined Granagh Players for their very first production of 'Sive' in 2008. It was a big ask at the time, she hadn't done anything like it before but she turned out to be perfect for the part of Sive..

LAY-LED COMMUNITY PRAYER:
Training is ongoing in the parish, at the moment, for volunteers. When there are Masses already scheduled for certain days and in the case of Fr. Dan being sick, away on retreat, holidays etc, the community can still gather for prayer. The main difference is there will be no Communion. The same readings, prayers of the faithful etc will be used. Fr. Dan will be away in early February, so the volunteers will have an opportunity to try this out in Granagh and Ballingarry. Down the road, it will be preparation for a time when parishes will have fewer priests available.

The walk will begin in the GAA Grounds in Ballingarry at 19:00 sharp and will follow a 3 km (or 5 km) route around the village.
Registration starts at 18.30 in the GAA grounds. It's free to take part and you will be provided with a free high viz jacket when you sign in. All U16s must be accompanied! Bring a torch if you have one and some warm clothes!
