NATIONAL SCHOOL:

Another Cup:

You couldn't plan something like this, but on Friday 9th June at Mick Neville Park, Granagh National school won the 7-a-side West Hurling Final. It was only a week or so after their performance at the AVIVA, they were probably still on a high. They had previously met with Cappagh & Kilcornan schools in the run-up to the final, where they met Tournafulla.

Granagh were 3 goals down, going in at half time..... After a pep talk from coach Seamus Murphy, they came out, on fire.!! Final score 6-10 to 4-5.

The Div. 4 Cup was presented by Alan Kelly, to the team, captained by Mark O'Shea, Many thanks to their trainer, Colm Noonan and to Ms Lynch & Mrs Clifford for their support over the last few months. What a brilliant finish to their school year. CONGRATULATIONS: It was all happening for one family over the weekend. Michelle McCarthy and David McMahon's baby, Ford, was christened on Saturday by Fr. Duggan. Michelle was also celebrating her 30th birthday on the same day. To make it three-in-a-row, David produced a beautiful Engagement ring, which she accepted.!! Congratulations and best wishes to all three, exciting times ahead. FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRES:
