Exam Time !!


EXAMS:

Best of Luck to those students preparing for the Junior and Leaving Cert exams. " Believe you can and you're halfway there " .

GRANAGH UTD. F.C:

Great celebrations in the Club. The U12s played their Cup Final on Monday 30th versus Newcastle West and won 3-1. Scorers Cian O'Carroll and Paudie Murphy (2). They became double winners on Monday 6th after winning 5-1 against AK Utd.

The Juniors were playing on Sunday 5th versus Newcastle Rovers and came away as the Div 2 League Champions.

Well done to the teams and their coaches for all their effort during the year.

ELAINE is No. 1:

Congratulations to Elaine Kirwan, daughter of Mossy and Ellen, who received Manager of the Year award in the large Centra Stores Category, on 26th May. She manages Lee's Centra/Topaz store, in Charleville. The awards were presented in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dublin with Brent Pope as M.C. Last year their shop won store of the year also. A great achievement for such an unassuming lady.

YOUTH CLUB:

Final club night on this coming Friday 10th, from 7pm - 10pm.

The end -of-year Youth Mass will be held on this Saturday 11th at 7pm in Granagh and the parents are welcome to the Hall for a cuppa afterwards. The Leaders wish to thank everyone for their help during the year and hope all members have a great Summer.

INDOOR MARKET:​

​Saturday 11th June: 9am - 1pm.​ ​ Free public entry. Also, a ​Car Boot Sale with Tea/Coffee Morning in aid of Ballingarry Family Resource Centre and The Jack & Jill Foundation €10 per Car Boot/Table. ​

All are welcome to sell Briq a Braq, Household Item, Baby/Toddler Items, Furniture, Baked Goods, Homemade Items, Fruit & Veg, etc,etc. Also ​ welcome, Hairdressers,​

Beauticians, Coal Merchants, Garden Centres, Swe​e​t makers and Bakers to sell and advertise.

JUST ROSES:

Alan and Josie will hold their Gala Open Day on this coming Sunday 12th, where they have at least a hundred varieties to choose from.

FURTHER EDUCATION:

Croom College of Further Education in the Mill Campus are now accepting applications for the following QQI courses :- Nursing Studies. Healthcare Assistants/Home Help. Sports, Recreation & Excercise. Animal Science Level 6. Horsemanship Level 5. Advanced Equine Studies Level 6.

OPEN COURSE DAY:

Liskennett Farm. Tuesday 21st June. 10.30am - 1.30pm.

Come along to find out about the Local Training Initiative Programme - Intellectual disability Practice, QQI Level 5.

PRIDE OF PLACE:

Congratulations to Liskennett Farm who have been selected as one of the county representatives in the annual competition for 2016. This all-island competition aims to celebrate and recognise the vital contributions made to society. Judging will take place between June and August, wishing them the best of Luck.

" HUP NA HOURA "

Ballyhoura Comhaltas are launching a unique traditional Irish music, song and dance show in the newly restored Church of Ireland, Kilfinanne. It will be held every Tuesday night, 8pm, beginning on 12th July and continuing until 23rd Aug. Along with top quality music and song, experience traditional dancing with a mix of step, sean-nós, set and brush dancing. The show is followed by a Seisiún where audience participation is welcome.
