GRANAGH 1916 DvD:

It has finally arrived.! O'Gorman's Shop have received a supply of the 1916 Commemoration DvDs.

The Development Association have subsidised the cost and they are being sold at €10 each. Sincere thanks to Kevin Daly, who recorded all the proceedings and then spent hours editing the footage to produce an excellent DvD. We must thank Jim Chawke for getting the idea off the ground and his right hand woman Marylee Stapleton for all her work behind the scenes. Also, special mention to Pat Hayes, Croom for all his help, to Pat Fitzgibbon for the sound effects and to Sean English for manning the lighting desk. Of course, the people who turned out to march and those who participated on stage, brought the whole thing together. Not forgetting the children, who came dressed and made-up, they really played their parts extremely well and look great on the Dvd.

SUMMER CAMPS:

Information on various Summer camps just starting to trickle through, here's hoping we will get some dry weather for them.!! Brochures for the Musica Fusion - Music and Dance Camps - is available in O'Gormans'. You can also download an application form from www.musicafusion.ie. The School gave a wonderful performance of 'Oliver' in the community centre last Sunday. A 7- piece Orchestra provided the backing for the very talented singers, so if that's anything to go by, the camp should be great.

GET WELL:

Great to hear that Sean English is improving daily and we hope it wont be long before he returns home. Maireád Chawke paid a flying visit home this weekend and she also attended the 1916 Commemoration ! She never missed anything that was held in the Hall. We also think of those who may be ill at home, in hospital or in care homes.
