Ballybricken- Bohermore 3-20 Granagh-Ballingarry 1-9

A far more complete and better balanced Ballybricken-Bohermore recorded their fourth successive victory in the County U21 13-a-side Hurling Championship with an irnpressive victory over gallant Granagh-Ballingarry in ideal conditions at Caherelly on Sunday to finish top of the group on four points and qualify for the semi-final with the winners of the back match Cois Laoi Gaels and Granagh-Ballingarry provisionally fixed for this Sunday, 20th March, in Ballingarry at 11 am to take the second semi-final spot.

The Ballybricken-Bohermore club had their pitch in top condition for . this game despite the bad weather of tfie previous days with Kieran Flaherty of Monaleen in charge. Ballybricken-Bohermore were sharper, more direct, showed better touches up front and were too strong for their under-strength opponents; they laid a foundation for victory in the first half, going in at the break leading 1-5 to 0-1.

In the second half with the wind at their backs the visitors fared better, striking 1-8 against 2-5 for the home side, and at the final whistle Ballybricken-Bohermore were comfortable winners to finish top of the group on 8 points With the wmners of the back match between Cois Laoi Gaels and Granagh-Ballingarry to finish second on 6 points and take the second semi-final spot. Ballybricken-Bohermore scored 3-12 from play and 0-8 from frees; Granagh-Ballingarry scored 1-6 from play and 0-3 from frees.
