2016 Arrives:
YEAR 2016:
" Here's hoping that the New Year is in every way complete. With Happiness, Success, Good Health and all that Makes Life Sweet."
Another new year has arrived and what it will bring we do not know.!! Hopefully, everything good that happened last year will continue into the next. Looking back, we thank all the local volunteers for their wonderful work throughout the year and the difference they have made in making the parish a better place for everyone. Often, it may feel like an uphill struggle, people may feel like giving up and letting it to someone else but perseverance pays off in the long run. All the local organisations and clubs crying out for more volunteers, a new year's resolution for some maybe ?
Hopefully, the generosity of spirit and sense of community we have will continue and remain strong. Athbhliain faoi mhaise dhaoibh go léir.

The children entertained Santa by singing Christmas songs and reminding him of their wish lists. They promised him they have been very good this year. We were delighted to receive gifts of books from Santa to the children and look forward to reading them in the new year. Thank you to the Parents Association for helping with the visit.

GRANAGH PLAYERS:
Time is fast approaching and the pressure is on. After all the bad eating habits over Christmas, we are a bit sluggish but Jim Chawke kept up his training regime and is ready for the off !
I don't know how Frank (Jim) and Agnes Mcllroy ( Marylee) spent their Christmas but she is looking forward to celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary in the same guesthouse where they spent their honeymoon.! Romantic notions but will grumpy old Frank be up for it ?? Their prim and proper landlady (Theresa) has not mellowed with time though !! The bubbly maid Vera (Mary) has lots of romantic notions but will she find her sailor (Niall) ? The resident hypochondriac (Lily) keeps everyone up to date on her ailments, whether they want to hear or not.!! Posh Mrs. Mansfield (Patsy) is a cut above everyone else, even her husband Walter (Paddy) !! More news next week.
Performance dates - Fri 22nd, Sat 23rd, Sun 24th & 29th, 30th & 31st. Jan at 8pm nightly.
