End of Season Disappointment for Granagh Ballingarry Camogie

Munster Semi Final

On Saturday last our season came to a disappointing close with a defeat to the Clare champions, Newmarket on Fergus, in the Munster Semi Final on a score line of 1-12 to 1-6. Both sides started brightly in the opening half with some good camogie being played. There was a big turning point in the first half when Newmarket on Fergus were reduced to 14 players due a light strike off the ball. This red card seemed to spur on the Clare side who went on to dominate much of the remaining game. The nearest we got was a draw mid way through the second half but the Newmarket on Fergus girls responded brilliantly and went on to win by 6 points. Newmarket on Fergus now await the winners of Burgess/Doharra and Milford who are due to play next Sunday. Halloween Disco

Last Sunday Evening Granagh Hall was a very scary place to be as it was over run with witches, vampires and zombies for Halloween Disco. A great evening was had by all and the kids danced and sang all evening . Medals were also presented to our underage teams by our club captain Lisa Kelly as they had a very successful year. Thank you to everyone who turned up and helped on the night. Thank you our DJ Darren Mulvihill, to the girls who ran our shop : Sinead Griffin, Anna Griffin, Ciara English, Ellen Murphy and Rihanne Martin, and to everyone who helped out.
