After our last meeting we decided to go ahead and launch a sample website for testing - http://granaghcommunity.wix.com/granagh We still have to add a number of organisations and their contact details etc etc. We would like as many people as possible to check it out and give us your feedback on granaghcommunity@gmail.com . As it progresses, we hope to make many improvements so that it will be of interest to all in the locality. Many thanks to Niamh O'Hanlon for all her hard work setting up this site.

COMMUNITY GAMES:

Athletics Weekend: The athletics weekend is happening in Mungret starting on Friday evening with the Marathon and Long puck. On Saturday and Sunday we will have our athletics out running, best of luck to all our runners and special thanks to Elaine Lyons for all her hard work training the children over the last few weeks.

U12 Soccer B Team: The boys in our Soccer team are doing great this year they were out again last week playing against St. Senans. They came home with a 5 – 0 win to Granagh Ballingarry, scorers, Owen Lynch 2 goals, Reece Kelly 1 goal and Luke Hayes 2 goals. Well done boys keep up the good work.

Photographic Competition: Please note - all children who have registered for the photographic competition - it takes place this Wednesday evening 17th June at 7pm in the peoples park in Adare. Please be there on time and the best of luck to all the children – Have fun !

CUAN MHUIRE WALK:

The annual hill walk for Cuan Mhuire takes place on Saturday 27th June in the Glen of Aherlow. You have a choice of 6km, 12km or 18km walks and as you will be surrounded by most beautiful scenery you will not notice the length of the walk at all !.

Sr. Consilio Fitzgerald is one of the great pioneers, in Ireland and Europe, in the treatment of individuals suffering from alcohol and substance abuse addictions. She has been acknowledged by the Irish president, the British government as well as numerous academic, professional and civic bodies. CRUISE SHIP:

The world's largest cruise liner " The Royal Princess" will be berthed in Cobh until 6pm on Sunday June 28th . At nineteen decks high you cant miss it. It is hard to believe the number of activities they can cater for on board e.g. fitness centre, tennis court, putting green, jogging track, exercise circuit, laser shooting range, a theatre, movies under the stars, pools and spas. Nice - if we could win the soccer lotto even !!
