Granagh-Ballingarry …1-16
In the last game of group 2 in the West Limerick Junior B Hurling League at Knockaderry on Tuesday 12th May the home side recorded a three point 2-16 to 1-16 victory over neighbours Granagh-Ballingarry in a thrilling 35-score contest to finish level on four points with Croagh-Kilfinny and Granagh-Ballingarry for a three-way play-off for the two semi-final places. A small crowd turned out to watch this hard fought exciting contest between neighbouring sides on a top class pitch with Jason O'Mahony of Kildimo in charge.
Granagh-Ballingarry were majestic in the first five minutes with points by Jimmy Shiels from two placed balls and John O'Grady from play before points were exchanged from play by Donnacha O'Dea on 6 minutes and Jimmy Shiels on 7 to leave it 0-4 to 0-1 in favour of Granagh-Ballingarry on 7 minutes. The next five minutes were tense and exciting with points exchanged by Donnacha O'Dea and sub Kevin O'Kelly, William Guiry and Kieran Condron, to see the sides still level for the fifth time Granagh-Ballingarry 1-15 Knockaderry 2-12 on 50 minutes.
