ADVENT SEASON: Rip Anne Moran.




CHURCH NEWS:

Last Sunday, we remembered the anniversary of Tom Horgan. Ar dheis Lamh Dé go raibh a Anam dilís.

Christmas Masses: Sunday 24th, Mass in Granagh 10.30am. Christmas Eve Mass, on the 24th at 6pm. Christmas Day, Monday Dec 25th, Granagh 10.30am.

Ballingarry:- Sat 23rd- at 7pm. Sun 24th- 7.30pm. Mon 25th - 9.30am.

GRANAGH N.S:

Granagh National School is now accepting enrolments for Junior Infants, starting in September 2024.

The Admission Notice and Admission Policy, including the Admission Form, are available on the website www.granaghns.weebly.com, or through the school office by contacting Maureen at (061)399081 or emailing office@granaghns.ie. The closing date for receipt of application forms is January 26th 2024.


CHOMHBHRÓN:

Our sympathies to the family of Anne Moran ( nee Tierney), Kilatal, who passed away peacefully on Dec 9th, in the care of the staff in Mount Pleasant Lodge Nursing Home, Kilcock, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Dan, daughter Maura and grandson Kieran.

Sadly missed by her sons Donal, Patrick Anthony, daughters Tina, Ann and Alice, sister Philomena, brother-in-law Tom, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Anne was reposed at O'Grady's Funeral Home, on Monday evening. Requiem Mass celebrated on Tues 11th at St. Joseph's Church, Granagh. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery. May she Rest in Peace.


MUSICA FUSION CONCERT:

Friday15th at 6pm, at the Music school, Clancy Tce, Charleville. A wonderful programme which includes Festive songs and pieces from the Junior & Senior Orchestras, the Junior & Adult Choirs, a Celli and Bass Ensemble, a Grúpa Cheoil, a Wind Ensemble and the Ceoil Cumaisc Quartet! We already had the pleasure of hearing the Quartet at our variety show last Saturday and there's so much more talent will be on display! Tickets available at the door, €10/€5. This is a fundraiser for the Musica Fusion Community Orchestra.


TRÓCAIRE:

Mary O'Regan will be selling the Trócaire gift cards at O'Gradys, Ballingarry on the morning of 16th from 9am - 12.30 and at O'Gormans, in the evening from 1pm - 4.30pm.


FOSSETTS Circus :

For a change, a family day out this Christmas! At Cleeves Factory Site, off O’Callaghan Strand in a Heated Big top, performances commence Friday 15th December until Sunday 7th January.

HEALTH PROJECT

An exciting research project is being undertaken by the University of Limerick, called the 'WEALTH Project' that some of you might like to take part in ! Linked to - 'your Health is your Wealth' as opposed to anything monetary. !Ideally they are looking for 40 people aged 40-65 years, to contribute to cutting edge research which gives detailed feedback on your diet quality and physical activity levels. All you have to do is attend a session in UL, wear different types of Fitbit devices over nine days and record your activities. You will even get a forty euro, One-for-All Voucher.
