CHOMHBHRÓN: We offer our sympathies to the family of the late Jimmy Griffin, Liskennett who passed peacefully at home, on Monday 19th surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, Maura, sons Thomas and Vincent, daughters Marie Noonan and Carol Phillips, sons-in-law John and Richard, daughters-in-law Toni and Fiona, his 12 adored grandchildren, sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and his many friends. He reposed at Daffy's Funeral Home, Requiem Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, in St. Peter's and Paul's Church Banogue with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. INDIANAPOLIS CONNECTION: I was delighted to get a note last week from Ita O'Brien, originally from Woodcock, now resident in the US. Ita follows all the local news on Facebook and the Web page. She was delighted to see all the old videos recently, which were filmed by Fr. Brown and she knew lots of people in them. She emigrated to the US as a young adult, met her husband Denis J. Moriarty there and they married in 1956. They have been living in the Little Flower Parish, Indianapolis since 1962.
