Commemorating 1916:

Jim Chawke has instigted plans to commemorate 1916.

It will be held on Sunday 24th April at 6.30pm.

It will be outdoors to begin with - marching from the Creamery to the School and then to the Hall where a flag will be raised. Then into the hall for the staging of some scenes from 1916.

He is looking for as many men & women of all ages, teens and children to take part. The idea is to have as many people as possible in the parish involved.

You can be part of the crowd marching, joining in songs/poetry, some people will be needed to act out the scenes while the narrator tells the story.

Anyone who thinks they want to be part of it in any way, whether its with more specialised skills e.g. sound, smoke effects, costumes or whatever, please let Jim know.

There will be two practises prior to the 24th April.

If you and your family would like to be a part of what will be a memorable occasion, please send on Names and Mobile Nos to Jim Chawke.

Looking forward to hearing from as many as possible.
