LADIES NIGHT:

Thanks to all the ladies and younger ladies who attended our Evening with Ursula, on Friday night. A little wine, a few nibbles, a free raffle and a good chat afterwards. Along with that, plenty of hints and tips on beauty, health, style and image. We also had some fabulous outfits from Ela Marias' modelled by Ashling, our six foot model ! Claire English had her make-up done by Ursula which was beautiful and so natural looking. Our Raffle winners: - Dairygold Voucher - Ms. Aoife English. Woodlands Voucher - Maureen Enright. Wine & Chocolates - Anne Marie Horgan.

Many thanks to our committee ladies for helping out on the night and to all who turned up the following morning for the clean up. Check out www.Granagh.com for some photos.

TEAM LIMK CLEAN-UP:

I’m sure you are familiar with the Team Limerick Clean-up (TLC) initiative which took place for the first time last year, when 10,000 people throughout the city and county of Limerick came out on Good Friday morning and cleaned-up their locality. Team Limerick Clean-up2 will take place this year on Good Friday, 25th March 2016. A huge number of clubs and groups took part in 2015 and will be participating again this year.

TLC is a very powerful event which creates a great community spirit.

The campaign is led by rugby legend Paul O’Connell and he is encouraging

everyone to get involved and join ‘The Clean Team’ this Good Friday. Registration is now open at www.teamlimerickcleanup.ie. Once you have signed up to TLC2 they will be in contact with you providing further information about the day including details about health & safety ,clean-up kits, litter collection routes and tea/coffee outlets. Should you have queries, please call 01 2953519 or email info@dmc-com.ie.

WEBSITE:

If you haven't yet checked out the parish website, it is time you had a look. We have some history on Granagh, you can catch up with the weekly parish news as well as the Camogie and GAA notes. There are seven local organisations on the site, each with their own page. There is an opportunity here for the Club secretaries and PROs to contribute notes and photos to keep their pages updated. We have set up an Events Calendar so that Clubs can advertise their events, matches, fundraisers etc.

On the Parish page, there are lots of contact numbers and the weekly bulletins are now available. On the Local Business page we are offering the FREE facility to local business' to advertise their products and services...

We are indebted to Niamh O'Hanlon who spent a lot of time setting up the web site for the benefit of the parish and it is a pity not to use it more. And, very importantly, all those who have emigrated can log in and keep in touch with home, therefore we need to keep the news updated.

BIRTHDAYS:

Happy Birthday wishes to Olivia O'Keeffe, Pa Leahy and Bernie Carroll.
