Kilbrean Cup Final: U13s headed to Killarney at the weekend. There were three matches on Saturday. They won the first match versus Mastergeeha 2:1, scorers Paudie Murphy and Jack O'Connor. A very tough match versus Killorglin - nil all.
They won again versus Barna Na Forbacha Aontaithe, 2:0, scorers Jack O'Conor and Conor Clifford. They came fourth in Sunday's final following a great performance over the two days, Killorglin were the winners. Well done to team members - Kilan Prior, Fionnan O'Driscoll, Conor Clifford, Eoin Lynch, Eoin Herlihy, Jack O'Connor, Paddy Lynch, TJ. Tierney, Rory Condon, David Bennett, Mark O'Shea, Daire Sexton, Cian O'Carroll, Jack Fitzgibbon, Ryan Fitzgibbon, William Dore, Paudie Murphy, Darragh McDonagh, Kevin Lawlor and James Dollery.

COMMUNITY GAMES:
Congratulations to the sixteen children who qualified for the National finals in Athlone. A lot of work, rehearsing and planning went into these teams over the past year so very well done to the committee and trainers for their dedication and commitment.
The U16 Draughts team came away with All Ireland Bronze medals. Team members Lisa Lynch, Gearoid Lynch, Conor Lynch, Eoin & Mark Sheehan and Sean English. And of course, their outstanding coach Mike Sheehan assisted by Breda Lynch and Mary Lynch.
The Relay team of Brian Sheehy and Michael Russell brought home All Ireland Silver.
The Culture Corner Group, in their first year participating, brought home All Ireland Silver also. They were Grainne Lynch, Olivia Bennett, Aislinn Herlihy, Therese Noonan, Caoimhe O' Flynn and Nessa Houlihan. They were managed by Maura Friel Lynch with help from Kathy Noonan, Jim Chawke and Anne Fitzgibbon.

SPEECH & DRAMA:
Tutor, Emma Chawke, would like to congratulate her Drama class of 2015 who were so successful in their exams this Summer.

Congratulations to Maria Boyce and John Cooke who were married in Granagh last Saturday. Wishing them many years of Health and Happiness.

RECENT CELEBRATIONS:
Congratulations to Lorraine & Kevin Fitzgibbon who celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary and Kevin also celebrated his birthday in August. He was probably pampered for the whole month !
Kevin Clifford celebrated a birthday as well, not revealing which one though. Congratulations to Eileen and Garry Costello on the birth of their baby Cillian on Wednesday 19th, weighing in at 6lbs 13ozs.
To all our Leaving Cert students, well done on their great results. Wishing them every success on the next phase of their journey.
CEMETERY MASS:
A big crowd attended Mass in Granagh graveyard, Monday, on a lovely mild evening. Shanavotha Mass was held on Tuesday evening and Kilmacow will be held on Thursday 20th at 8.00pm.
GRANAGH PEBBLES:
Natalie Stapleton is having an open evening on this coming Friday 21st August, in Granagh Community Centre, 6pm - 7pm. All parents and children welcome to see her new After School facilities.
CHOMHBHRÓN:
Our sympathies to the family of Joan Cagney, Graigue, wife of the late Willie. She is survived by sons Eamonn, Gerard, John, Liam and daughter Helen. Brothers, daughter-in-law, grandchildren Bill, Sheila, Sean, Rachel, Abby, Patrick, Sara, relatives and friends. She was laid to rest on Thursday 13th in Castletown cemetery.
