CHURCH NEWS:

The Advent Appeal - This year it was in aid of the suffering people of Eastern Aleppo. We thank and congratulate all the mass goers of the parish, who, over two weekends have contributed over €2,000. This is a fantastic response. Your cheque will now be forwarded to ‘Medicins San Frontier’. If you missed out but still want to contribute, put your offering in an envelope, mark it ‘Aleppo’ and hand it in to the sacristy after mass this weekend 17th. The Fund is then closed.

Thanks to all who supported the Haiti fundraiser last Saturday night. Denise Kelly set up this charity four years ago and they provide schooling for the children. It costs €130 per year to keep a child in school and they now have 65 enrolled. They have only one paid office person so that the money can be spent on the children. It is run on voluntary contributions so hopefully we will have another Christmas Jumper Party night again next year.

Thank you to Everyone who filled a Shoebox this year, you will have made some deprived children very happy this year.
