GRANAGH/BALLINGARRY CAMOGIE NOTES 22nd February 2016

WEST LIMERICK ALL STAR AWARD:- Aoife Sheehan Granagh/Ballingarry Camogie club would like to congratulate Aoife Sheehan on winning the West Limerick Senior Camogie All star award for 2015. This is due to her outstanding displays all year in the black and white and especially in the county final against kileedy and also the Munster club championship. The club had a great year last year at senior level and went on to win there 3rd county title in a row. Well done aoife and continued success for 2016 . Granagh/Ballingarry Gaa club were well represented at the West awards with Donal o Grady picking up the senior gong, John Carroll received the Intermediate award, Eoghan Casey picked up the Junior B award. Well done to all involved. Limerick defeat Cork in National Senior Camogie League John Tuohy coached Limerick beat reigning All Ireland Champions Cork in the 1st round of the national senior league which was played in windswept Rathkeale last Sunday. This was johns first game in charge and what away to start their campaign. Limerick played extremely well from start to finish and always looked like winning. The final score was Limerick 1-11 to Cork 0-9. The club was well represented by Fiona Hickey, Siobhan Enright and Sara Carey. Congrats to all involved! 45 Drive Fundraiser: Granagh/Ballingarry Camogie club are holding there 45 Drive Fundraiser on the 7th March at 9pm in the community centre in Granagh. €10 per player. Loads of spot prizes and raffle prizes on the night. Spread the word and come one in all and have an enjoyable nite!
