YOUTH CLUB DISCO:

Friday 6th Nov: Ballingarry Hall, 8pm to 10.30pm. The first youth disco of the season, being hosted by Ballingarry and Granagh clubs. It is only open to clubs affiliated with Limerick Youth Service.

' SHOE BOXES '

Once again the Christmas Shoe Box appeal is upon us. It is a wonderful present for the forgotten children who are the innocent victims of war, poverty and disease in Eastern Europe. The postage slips can be picked up at the Spar in Ballingarry or contact Anne 68184 or Maureen 68107. Some items that can be included - pens, pencils, notebooks, toppers, colouring books, games, sunglasses, dolls, skipping ropes, gloves, scarves, caps, jelly sweets, socks, soaps, cosmetics and underwear. All items either new or as good as. No food, medicine, chocolate, books with words, liquids or items associated with war. Age groups for boys and girls - 2-4, 5-9 and 9-14.

' OLIVER ' :

Last chance to see Newcastle West Musical Society staging their fabulous production of Oliver. A very talented cast, with some wonderful singers accompanied by a fabulous six-piece orchestra. It is being staged in Castlemahon community Hall, Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th at 8pm nightly. Adm: Adults €15, Students €10, Children €5. Complimentary programme and teas at the interval.

COMPUTER CLASSES:

The computer class begins on Tuesday 17th Nov in the Community centre. It is a four week course, from 7pm to 9pm each evening, total cost per person €20.

BUTTERFLY CLUB:

Based in Rathkeale, the club is for children with special needs, offering respite to parents and guardians. They have 63 members at present which are divided into five groups. Each group has four hours on Saturday, 1pm - 5pm. The club is constantly looking for volunteers to help out. If you feel you can help, contact 086-2120023 or see the web page www.thebutterflyclub.ie

ADULT CHOIR:

We are still looking for new members to join us, all age groups welcome. Choir for mass on Friday 6th and Saturday 14th Nov.

CELEBRATIONS:

Congratulations and best wishes to Shane Clifford, Kilmacow who was married on Friday 30th to Claire Ní Charthaigh, from Clonakilty. Phillip and Theresa Noonan celebrated their 27th Wedding Anniversary. Margarite Lynch and Tony Sheehan celebrated their birthdays. Congrats to Emer Power on receiving a first class honours degree in her Msc Neuropharmacology course from Galway University. She is now in Galway studying for her PHD.

Sunday 15th Nov. Afternoon Tea Dance, 2.30pm. Music - Mike Condon.
