Please support if you can, it is vital to keeping the club in finances, as costs continue to rise. You can choose to buy a horse & own him for only €20 or for a business you can take out half/full page adverts.

LITERARY FESTIVAL: Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd February: The Limerick Literary Festival, formerly known as Kate O'Brien Weekend, is this year celebrating its 36th edition. The event continues to honour the life and works of the Limerick author, while attracting prominent participants from all over the world. The Festival seeks to promote Limerick nationally as a place of literary excellence and to provide a platform where readers can meet their favourite authors and other readers. It is one of Ireland's most vibrant and successful festivals which has been running since 1984, and it showcases a diverse programme, the best in Irish and international contemporary literature. DISTRICT FORUM: Wednesday 26th February: The next Golden Vale District Forum will be held at Dromina Community Centre, (Eircode: P56 H267), at 7.30pm. Members from local community groups are welcome to attend. Join us as we explore Dromina’s innovative projects and current developments. It will be an excellent opportunity for everyone to explore common issues and develop solutions. Learning from and with others is a key feature of the District Forum and an excellent way to bring everyone together to share common goals and challenges. As well as highlighting funding opportunities, training programmes and workshops, local activities and events, the forum will also engage you on the Historic Graveyards Project.

PARENTS ASSOCIATION: Granagh parents' association have tickets on sale at O'Gormans' and The Rock Bar for the Irish Times Fantasy Rugby - they are fundraising for a sign and flag. Log onto www.fantasyrugby.irishtimes.com and register your team ahead of the Six Nations and join the public league - 'Granagh PA' . Winners will be announced six days after final match. 1st prize - €200. 2nd prize - €100. 3rd prize - €50.

HEALING TOGETHER: Thursday 5th Mar: 7.00 - 9.30pm: Colaiste Chiarain, Croom. A free event open to all members of the community. Have you or your child experienced Bereavement, Separation, Loss, Grief or Change ? Guest Speakers - Helen Culhane, Childrens' Grief Project. Carmel Brosnan , Living with Grief, Loss and Change Programme for Adults. Leeanne Casey, Croom & Ballingarry FRC Play Therapies & Maureen Browne, Rainbows Facilitator. BEST COSTUME GOES TO: 8th Feb - 14th Apr: The exhibition will display costumes filmed in Ireland or abroad but with Irish talent involved. The exhibition will be backed up by sketches, film stills and film clips telling the story of the relationship between the actor and their costume and the growth of the Irish film industry. Costumes from nineteen films and TV series will be on display, represented by thirty three costumes, some of which have been Oscar nominated. This exhibition gives the opportunity to view costumes from films and TV such as The Favourite, The Quiet Man, Braveheart, Vikings, and more.
