Granagh's First T.D.

COMHGHAIRDEAS: Congratulations to Richard O'Donoghue on being elected County Limerick's first Independent TD. It was a tough campaign, many hours spent travelling all over the county, meeting as many people as possible. His hard work has paid off and we wish him the very best of luck in his new role.

GRANAGH UTD: Thursday 13th Feb. The Club AGM will be held in the Granagh Community Centre at 8pm. All existing and new members are welcome to attend.

LADIES FOOTBALL: Friday 14th Feb: Granagh Ballingarry Ladies Football club are holding our registration night for U6’s, U8’s, U10’s, U12’s and U’14’s from 7- 9pm at the GAA complex in Ballingarry. We hope to see you all back for the year ahead and new members are very welcome.

P. CLERK COLLECTION: If you didn't get around to supporting the Parish Clerks collection yet, you can still do so, this coming weekend.

PARENTS ASSOCIATION: Granagh parents' association have tickets on sale at O'Gormans' and The Rock for the Irish Times Fantasy Rugby - they are fundraising for a sign and flag. Log onto www.fantasyrugby.irishtimes.com and register your team ahead of the Six Nations and join the public league - 'Granagh PA' . Winners will be announced six days after final match. 1st prize - €200. 2nd prize - €100. 3rd prize - €50.

MUSICAL VALENTINE: Friday 14th Feb. 8pm. Casltemahon Hall: Cúisle presents ‘A Valentine of Another Kind’ with special guest Sinead O’Brien, Soprano of Sinead’s Curvy Style. Cúisle concerts are renowned to be evenings full of fantastic music with plenty laughter, fun and feel good vibe. Join us for all of your favourite hits, inspired by the ‘late night love’ radio hours of the 1990’s. This event is also in part a fundraiser for the development of Cúisle. FRIARS GATE: Friday 14th: Opera workshop perform "The Trouble with Virtue". Saturday 22nd: Queen of Technicolor - the story of Maureen O'Hara. Written and performed by Elaine O'Dwyer.

"CROWMAN": Jon Kenny is bringing his one-man-play to the Glórach Theatre, Abbeyfeale on Friday 28th Feb. Written by the very talented Katie Holly, the play has been travelling all over the country, to sold-out audiences. Booking on 087-1383940.
