GRANAGH  PLAYERS:

Our 10th Anniversary production has come to an end after a very successful  seven night run.   Congratulations to producer Jimmy Sheehy for  giving drama fans a unique experience  and for stretching the talents of the group.   It was the most difficult play they have undertaken and now that it's done, they are delighted to have  conquered another author.

On the final night, we had a total of nineteen prizes for our raffle - all due to our amazing Sponsors.   All members will be given a list of the sponsors, so that they can support them whenever possible.

On the night of the DvD recording, we want to say thanks to the children for being so cooperative and remaining as quiet as possible.   On the last night we were delighted to see they all joined in with the singing...  Niall Clifford had his backing chorus singing  " The Bells of Hell go ting-a-ling-a-ling".

We are delighted, this year, to be able to help with a donation to the Stapleton Family House-Fire Fund.   Marylee has been a central part of the group since the beginning.  Once she commits to a role she gives it top priority.   She sets a very high standard for herself and this naturally filters through the group.  She is dependable and hard working and you never hear her complaining.
After the fire, in November, she had been in the midst of rehearsing for the Banogue show as well as the play.   You would not blame anyone if they had pulled out of these kinds of commitments.   But, not Marylee...  However she did it, she continued and saw them both through.  We do not know how she was able to concentrate on rehearsals and learn off her lines while so many things were happening in her daily life.    We hope that Marylee and the family will  stay strong and come through this tragedy with all our help.
