Important Meeting Friday Night

A very Important special general meeting of Granagh-Ballingarry GAA club takes place this Friday, 11th March, in the clubhouse in Ballingarry at 8pm sharp. This is an Important meeting as a lot of business will be dealt with to help with the running of the club for 2016.

County 13-a-side U21 Hurling Championship

The second successive game was cancelled, due to the weather this time against Cois Laoi Gaels, fixed for Kilbreedy on Sunday last at 12 noon. It will be re- fixed for a later date by the CCC.

Granagh-Balligarry's next game is on this Sunday 13th March against Ballybricken/Bohermore in Ballybricken at 12 noon.

County Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship

1 Group League System Sunday 10th April Round 1:

Granagh-Ballingarry v Effin.

Sunday 8th May Round 2: Granagh-Ballingarry v Croom.

Sunday 15th May Round 3: Granagh-Ballingarry v Monaleen.

Sunday 29th May Round 4: Granagh-Ballingarry v BlackrocK.

Sunday 21st August Round 5: Granagh-Ballingarry v Cappamore.

Sunday 11lh September Round 6: Granagh-Ballingarry v Feohanagh-Castlemahon.

Sunday 18th September:

Granagh-Ballingarry v Garryspillane.

Sunday 25th September: County Semi final

Sunday 9th October: County Final.

Note: Top four teams to qualify for county semi final. Winners of both semi finals will be promoted to senior for 2017. County Final winners to represent Limerick in the Munster Club Intermediate Hurling Championship. Bottom two teams in the group relegated to second tier Intermediate for 2017. If teams finish level on points in group, scoring difference will apply. The above dates for group stage games are on 'Sundays, but games may be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday at venues and times to be confirmed.

Membership closes on March 31st

There are 22 days to go to the closing date Thursday 31st March for membership of Granagh-Ballingarry Club Draw 2016. Fees are €40 adult players, €20 non players and students, €10 for Bord Na nOg (€20 per family) and U18 players. Non players who pay the €100 club draw fee in full will automatically become members of the club for 2016. Fees should be paid on or before Thursday 31st March to club registrar John Carroll or to any team manager at training or to treasurer John 0' Keeffe. To train or play for the club you have to be insured and you are not insured if you don't register. We ask you to do so as soon as possible, as it is generally felt by club officers that any member or player should feel obliged to get their membership paid as soon as possible."We again point out that people who have not paid by March 31st will not be covered by insurance or entitled to any privileges whatsoever from our club.

€11,900 jackpot on Lottery

There was no winner of the €11,800 jackpot in the Granagh-Ba11ingarry G.A.A. club lottery on Monday 7th March in Trainor s bar, Ballingarry. The numbers drawn were 14, 22, 26 and 31. Lucky dips of €20 each went to Karen and Majella, Jim Noonan, Niall Kennedy, Michael Clancy and Seamus Stapleton. The next draw is on Monday 14th March in Condron's bar, Ballingarry, for a jackpot of €11,900 and we thank all our punters for their continued support.

Granagh-Ballingarry GAA club draw lottery promoters are taking to the streets to canvass members to join the 10 month draw, March to December, With our club. By joining you will become an automatic member of our club for 2016
