U16 Semi Final

On Thursday last our U16s played Doon in the U16s championship semi-final in Banogue. It was a very entertaining and close affair with Doon starting very well with some quick scores. Doon maintained this lead throughout the match and despite the best efforts of the girls, who were missing 4 of their first team, they could not reduce the deficit. The girls should be very proud of the season they had, the highlight being the League Final win earlier in the year. The future looks very bright for this bunch of girls so roll on 2016 ! The Panel on the night was: Roisin O’Sullivan, Aimee O’Sullivan, Valerie Sheehy, Aislinn Herlihy, Ciara Sheehy, Eimear Morrissey, Ciara O’Connor, Beth Stapleton, Leanne Herlihy, Orla Lenihan, Ellen Murphy, Ciara English, Anna Griffin, Emily Davis, Sarah Condon, Molly Cagney and Orla Doherty. Thank you to Banogue GAA for the use of the field

The Annual Mike O’Brien Tournament was cancelled on Sunday due to the bad weather. It has now been rescheduled for Sunday the 27th from 10-1 at Ballingarry GAA.

Climb a hill for Jack and Jill

On the same day as our tournament, there will be a fundraiser walk for the Jack and Jill Charity. Jack & Jill is a nationwide charity that provide a service of home nursing care for children aged from birth to 4 years who suffer severe brain damage and need 24 hour care. The walk will be a climb up Knockfierna Hill. Registration will take place prior to the event in the Hall, Ballingarry, Co Limerick at 1.00pm. A registration fee of €16 per adult is payable on the day. This €16.00 provides one hour home nursing care. Donations are also accepted. Please come out and support this great cause.
