Still Feeling PINK:

COLLECTION: Sat/Sun 3rd & 4th Aug, Parish Clerk's Annual collection. No one realises the amount of time Kathleen gives to our Church - it takes a very dedicated person to be Sacristan. She has the responsibility of opening the Church every day, making sure the correct readings are selected, keeping an eye on the upcoming masses, changing the linens and making herself available for every service that takes place from christenings to communions, confirmations, weddings and funerals. For every family event we celebrate in Church, Kathleen is always there, unseen, but with us. Just lately, I noticed that at the special mass for Peggy Tierney, she had all pink flowers on display and

Peggy's Fan Club: WE WENT PINK FOR PEGGY: What a day we had in the parish last Sunday - there are just not enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe the atmosphere, the camaraderie, the co-operation, the emotion, the generosity and the overwhelming support we received from people & business' all over the place. This is truly a testament to Peggy's personality and how she has endeared herself to so many people. Everyone was devastated to hear her cancer had returned and shortly after that Paddy had an accident at work. GOIN ' PINK FOR PEGGY: Sunday 14th July: Looking forward to a great gathering. We are hoping people will try and get to one of the following events for Peggy's Fundraiser - The Vintage Run which leaves The Rock at 12.30pm. The Fun 'Talk while you Walk' leaves the Community Centre at 1pm. On returning to the Centre, everyone will get a chance to have a cuppa and buy tickets for our Monster Raffle. Fantastic prizes have been generously donated - A weekend for Two in Killarney, followed by Restaurant Vouchers, Beauty & Hair Vouchers, Pharmacy Gifts, a €100 Spa Voucher, Glasses, Crystal and many more. CAMOGIE WALK: The rescheduled Granagh/Ballingarry Camogie Fun Walk will take place on this coming Sunday 7th July at 12pm from the Community Centre. Minus the rain, hopefully. RATHFREDAGH FETE: Remember it is this Sunday 7th July: 12pm - 6pm: Goods for the Fete can be dropped in to the Cheshire Home during this week. A great family day out with funds raised going to the running and upkeep of the home. They will have Vintage, Books, Plants, Clothes and Bag Stall, Bouncing Castles, Games, Music, Crafts, Dog Show etc GRAVEYARD MASSES: If the weather holds up, the remaining Masses will take place on Wednesday 3rd in Shanabhotha at 8pm and in Granagh graveyard at 8pm. '' GRANAGH's GOIN PINK FOR PEGGY'': A meeting was called by some of Peggy Tierney's Pals last week, mainly through texting, phone calls and word-of-mouth. Over forty people arrived on the night and some who couldn't make it, pledged their support. Everyone was anxious to help support her in any way they could, as she is currently undergoing treatment for breast and liver cancer. At the moment she is traveling to Dublin for her treatment, as this is the only place offering her that option. When this treatment finishes in October she will be put forward for drug trials in Dublin. There were lots of fundraising ideas given to the committee on the night, so the following is the plan
