EXTRA NIGHT: GRANAGH PLAYERS

The Chastitute, by J.B.Keane Due to popular demand, as they say and the fact that up to 50 people were turned away over last weekend, the Players are going to do ONE more performance of ' The Chastitute'. --- SATURDAY 3rd Feb. 8pm.

Another Opening, Another Show....

GRANAGH PLAYERS: Eventually, we are facing the opening weekend with a nervous excitement. Wondering if we have forgotten something and making lists of lists in case we do. It is a huge undertaking and only for the number of volunteers helping out, it would be impossible to run, as efficiently as it does. After John Bosco's adventures in Cork, he has to go to confession and the local priest ( John English) even feels sorry for him. Even though John B has had a few hairy experiences, he is not willing to give up and we see himself and Sylvie ( John Bennett) heading to the Horse Show in Ballsbridge. C​HOMHBHRÓN: We offer our sympathies to the family of the late Kitty Noonan, Ballyguile, who died peacefully at her residence on 29th December. ​ She is survived by her family​, ​ Eamonn, Joan, Jim, Pat and Noreen, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother Willie, sister Sheila, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass​ was celebrated by Fr. Dan Lane, on Monday January 1st, ​with b​urial afterwards in the local cemetery. The ladies and gents of Granagh Players have been busily rehearsing for their 11th production - ' The Chastitute ' by John B. Keane. Director, Jimmy Sheehy, once again takes the cast under his wings and leads them in this hilarious production which follows the story of John Bosco’s McLaine and his attempts to find a bride.
