Jim Chawke is 60 !

Kathleen & Fr. Dan, with Munster & All-Ireland Soccer Cups. MEMORIAL MASS: Fr. John Hannon, Kilmacanearla, who served as a priest of the Diocese of Sacramento for nearly sixty two years, died on 5th June at 87yrs of age. He was ordained on June 12th, 1955 at the Cathedral in Thurles. Along with ministering in many different parishes in Sacremento, he served as Catholic Chaplain to the U.S. Navy at Hamilton Air Force Base from 1987 - 1990. He retired from active ministry on 15th June, 2004, but continued to serve as administrator in several parishes in the diocese. We offer our sympathies to his nephews the Butlers, Pat Tom, Mike, Tony and Ger and Eamon Houlihan, also his nieces B

6th Class Graduate:

GRADUATION CLASS:​ ​At their graduation Mass last Wednesday, Fr. Dan wished the ​ ​6th class students​​ well, as they begin the next phase of their education: - Abbie O'Shea, Mai Griffin, Luke Hayes, Mark O'Shea, TJ Tierney & Paudie Murphy.. He also said that they will be missed a lot, they all served Mass, never missing their turn and were always in good form. The boys in particular will never forget their eventful years on the sports field, crowning their achievements with their historic winning of the All-Ireland in the Aviva. An exemplary bunch of young people who we expect to hear a lot more about, both on and off the field, in the years ahead. CLEAN- UP: Meeting at the Church

Tractor Run for 'Slim Jim'

TRACTOR RUN: In Honour of Jim Moloney. At very short notice, Richard O'Donoghue and team put out a call on 8th June looking for support for a tractor run for ' Slim Jim ' Moloney, as they found out that he would be arriving home. Using facebook, texts and phones, the word went out.... On Sunday 11th the sun shone out as traffic began to build up from 9.30am. Seamus & Janice opened The Rock early to accommodate the crowd, supplying tea,coffee and wonderful hospitality. Padraig Broderick, Spar, Croom supplied the hot food and many people supplied sandwiches. Spot prizes began to build up and the donation buckets began to fill.
